Party Animals, a quirky, comedic dance, explores the concept of support and weight, stretch and pull, give and take, and physical contact in a most unorthodox way: the dancers are connected through their costuming of elasticized fluorescent lycra spandex unitards with striking contrasting visual inserts. Inspired by the German Bauhaus Expressionist movement, this modernized approach is made humorous through its use of whimsy, color, interaction, characterization, accompaniment, lighting, and of course its exploration of physical comedy.
